Flying In

Flying InWe have a passion for aviation.

The fact that you are reading this is a good indication that you might share this passion. We host the Walterboro Wings-n-Wheels event for aircraft enthusiasts like you as well as the general public. Sharing our passion for flight–especially with kids–and helping others understand more about general aviation is what this event is all about.

This is our 8th annual Walterboro Wings-n-Wheels. We have enjoyed great success in previous years, but each year we do our best to make the next event even better.

So we try to bring in more aircraft, more cars, and yes, even more food. This year multiple vendors will be serving a good variety of food–hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, ice cold drinks and even snow cones.

Walterboro-Wings-and-Wheels-40Hospitality Tent

Chairs will be set up under a hospitality tent for pilots and show car owners. Here you can relax, have a great meal, and hang out with your friends.

Safety

An “Air Boss” with radio (122.8) will be on the ground helping manage arrivals and departures. Plane walkers (airport personnel, pilots or members of EAA Chapter 477) will be in place to help when you’re taxiing near the event. CAP cadets will be available to plane-sit and stand by your aircraft to ensure the public doesn’t get too close while you walk around or visit the hospitality tent.

Walterboro-Wings-and-Wheels-24More Show Cars

This year we will have more show cars. Hot rods, muscle cars, custom cars and more. We think the car guys will enjoy seeing the vast array of aircraft and the pilots will enjoy great show cars.

Awards

We will have awards again this year. Please check here later for full details.
